Surprise surprise, the Portland-area state Senator (Chris Gorsek) who brought an age verification bill into the Oregon state senate in 2023… Was a cop for ten years and now teaches criminal justice.
Thankfully that turd was smacked down in committee and never saw any vote.
It’s not often that you see a group of four states on a social value issue where Utah and California are in the same group, but there you are.
California requires age verification for algorithm feeds, not for general social media or content filtering.
