YouTube Shorts is broken and I hate it. I have a YT channel where I post my music and recently decided to post a couple devlogs as an initial marketing attempt. Both got very low double digit views.
After I made and implemented sound effects for my game I decided to make a short to demonstrate the SFX and cool death effect. 1.4k views. Literally more than double than all my channel views combined.
I hate short form content and the 9:16 aspecc ratio sooo much tho.
Any time I see that I can't help but think, just turn your phone. It's the dumbest aspect ratio.
It really is. And making 9:16 is super uncomfortable because you basically have to somehow arrange things to fit into the tiny rectangle and it rarely works, while requiring more setup than just making 16:9 content (or 21:9 in my case).
It needs to die yesterday!
