In June, the FBI quietly lowered some of the standards it uses when it conducts background checks on would-be federal agents and other personnel. According to multiple sources briefed on the matter, the FBI did so to facilitate hiring in some cases, even if candidates acknowledged they engaged in sexually deviant activities or stole from an employer.

This is also what I’ve been hearing. From people in the know. A lot of people have been saying it. Whether the animal was sick or not, I cannot say. However, some people have been saying that it was healthy, but injured.
What’s curious to me is no mention of relaxing it’s standards on drugs. There’s two main reasons real talent doesn’t apply to the federal government regardless of administration: non-competitive pay and no drugs. No drugs also means that you need to disclose any illicit drug use in the past and that might disqualify you. If they’re relaxing their standards on people who hire sex workers (huge honeypot risk), people who steal from employers (obvious compromise risk), and people who have engaged in animal cruelty (sociopaths), but not drugs, they have completely lost the purpose of conducting the background checks.

Ya know? I gotta plead ignorance on this one. I’ve never applied to work for the FBI. So I can’t comment on what the process is like….but never had I once considered the fact that the FBI not only asks on the application, and follows up on a background check who fucks animals.
I don’t ever have thoughts that people fuck animals. 10 years ago when the epstein stuff came out, I was surprised to learn that not only do grown men fuck kids, but it’s also not even that uncommon among the rich.
Now I’m finding out this animal fucking is a big enough problem that it was something they have to look into with applicants.
And even weirder, they have abandoned that barrier to entry.
