If anybody is self-hosting GitLab here, then have my condolences. A possible alternative might be Forgejo.

Forgejo is a soft fork of gitea… But not owned by a for profit organisation so we must hope

Perhaps Forgejo will at some point change into a hard fork. That would be kind of nice…
