She said she is finally ready to eat rey food. But she wanted soft fries. Yesterday’s lesson with the golden potatoes told me they would be perfect.
I canned this chili January 2025 so it is no longer possible to make it for this price because of the ground beef. At the time I made 12 quarts of chili for $50, that was 28% cheaper than buying canned chili that you know wasn’t even comparable to homemade.
I’m wondering if my canned chili recipe would work with lentils.
Cost per person $2.53 Cost today is probably closer to $2.80

Lentils are probably better if you mean to replace the ground beef, but if you’re looking to supplement it, my favorite addition is hominy.

Does this mean soft as in limp and not crispy? That’s how I took it, but maybe there is another consideration.
I’m with you. I like mine crispy but she likes hers sad. She was raised in Pennsylvania and that has caused a lot of problems.
Who is “she” and what is rey?
Anyhoo, lentils with some crushed walnuts for a little more texture work really well.
