Yeah when I was a kid I saw one getting chased by a horde of males in my back yard. It was enlightening to say the least 😅
Strange look for a “man”
I was just going to comment on that!
Actually I love it, and find it a perfect fit, i.e. man being the monkey that frequently thinks of himself as being a lot more advanced and important than other animals, who still betrays his nature at every possible turn. Or something like that.
But man being a great ape, and great apes being a subset of monkeys, does indeed mean that man is also a monkey.
