Taking acetaminophen during pregnancy does not increase the risk of autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or intellectual disability among children. That is according to the most rigorous analysis of the evidence to date, published in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women’s Health, and led by researchers from City St George’s, University of London.

I’m so done with win11, and currently 12 of my 15 machines are linux anyway, but AFAIK HDR (on nvidia gpu) is still impossible? Are you guys all on AMD or just not using hdr for gaming/media? So instead of relying on outdated info, just asking the pros :)

The three I’ve tried so far are Thunderbird, Betterbird, and Evolution.

I was diagnosed 20 years ago. I joined this forum and was astonished when I saw a post entitled “what kind of earplugs do you have?” I thought “wait, you all have ear plugs too?” My point is that when I was diagnosed, we didn’t know all these things about ADHD (auditory sensitivities, etc). I used to flip shit and get angry immediately when I heard leaf blowers. Certain sounds would send me over the edge when I was younger. I am also finding out about a correlation between ADHD and rejection dysphoria. What book can I read to find out what else I don’t know that’s been discovered since 2005?

People have near limitless options for what to watch on tv, and still complain

Community iconc/showerthoughts@lemmy.world by
FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca

There was a time when people didn’t have a choice for what they watched on tv. They had to watch whatever was on or nothing. Now you can watch almost anything. Some things you can only watch if you’re willing to pay for it but still, you have a lot of options. You have endless options, more than you probably have time to watch. And yet there are still people who throw a fit that shows and movies are made that don’t appeal to them. It’s so easy to not watch the thing you dislike and pick something else, but some people still want everything made with them in mind. Some people are never happy with anything they watch.

Steam AI Disclosure Gets Clarification for AI in Dev Tools (techpowerup.com)

Community iconc/gaming@lemmy.zip by
BrikoX@lemmy.zip

Valve previously implemented a rule that forced developers to disclose their use of generative AI in any games published on Steam. This new guidelines required developers to disclose generative AI use when it resulted in AI-generated content in the game itself—AI-generated images, textures, or 3D models, for example—or when the game was actively using AI to generate new content during gameplay. Now, Steam has apparently updated its generative-AI disclosure system (via Simon Carless on LinkedIn) to be clearer and to add nuance to the discussion, especially given the rise in popularity of AI code helpers and similar tools. Developers will still need to disclose all AI-generated content in their games, and Valve will still display the disclosure on the game’s Steam Store page.
