My want to retake my meds but my wife doesn't want me to. Any advice?

Community iconc/adhd@lemmy.world by

I’m trying to retake the medication that I took back in high school (Concerta) so I can study for and eventually take the Comptia A+ exam. The idea being that I’ve a decently-paying remote job that will benefit both my wife and I. My wife, however, refuses to let me get my meds. This isn’t the first we’ve had this conversion and every time she says the same thing: “You just need to focus naturally”, “It’s all in your head”, “Doctors are only in it for themselves” and so on. There’s no getting through to her and I’m tired of trying to get to reason with me. I think I’m going to get my meds in secret and hide them. I know that this is a bad idea but she leaves me no choice. Any advice?

You Do Not Hate The IRS Enough (kenklippenstein.com)

Documents I obtained show that the IRS already has a powerful set of tools to force compliance, from undercover agents to wiretaps and other forms of electronic surveillance. The collaborates with ICE to monitor the travel of American citizens through. But now, thanks to AI, the IRS’s ultimate goal is for “minimal human contact,” as one document put it.

With google following apple’s walled garden, and limiting third party app installations, can someone else big (nonprofit like GNU or Linux foundation) fork and maintain android? Reason for choosing someone big is for mass adoption and that google is slowly boiling the pot to see what enshittification it could get away with

Why is the US$100 bill the most counterfeited?

Community iconc/asklemmy@lemmy.world by
War5oldier@lemmy.world

I mean, the 100 USD bill is NOT the highest valued bill in the world, that belongs to the former B$10000 bill (withdrawn) from Brunei (I’m serious, this exists) which is worth $7874 and yes it’s a single bill, also converting to around £5803 & 6677€ respectively. Like why does this bill even exist when it’s hard to encounter, given that Brunei is a petro-state, it comes as no surprise.
